-Award winning garden designer chooses Clearview
Dr Peter Reader, GP turned award winning garden designer, is such a fan of his Clearview Pioneer 400, that he used one as a centre piece to his show garden at the 2014 RHS Hampton Court Flower Show.
Last year his garden won him a Silver Gilt medal and the coveted People's Choice Award and this year, he’s hoping Al Fresco will be another hit. This design is a modern outdoor entertaining space and relaxing garden oasis, incorporating olive trees, raised bed filled with Mediterranean style planting, a table under a green oak pergola. A central pillar will house the warmth of the log burning stove.
Peter (49) lives in a three storey, four bedroom Victorian home in Highgate, London. He is huge fan of log fires and the warmth and ambience of a natural fire, but wanted something more efficient, and bought his stove from a local shop in Finchley, following recommendations from friends. Peter chose this particular stove because it fits perfectly in the space available and because he loved the quality and design of the woodburner.
It has been a resounding success and is popular with everyone, including the dog, who often hogs it! Peter says it brings the family together, especially in the evenings, and provides a focal meeting place where they often gather. Peter is such a fan of the flame he will often light the stove even on a good day as he still likes seeing it through the glass.
